[He promptly arrives to Gokudera's place, knocking on the door when he gets there. He shifts from foot to foot as he waits for the other to answer.]

[Gokudera throws the door open almost the second Makoto knocks. Not that he was waiting by it or anything like that! He steps aside allowing the other boy to enter, trying to look nonchalant.]

Hey, come in. You hungry or anything?

[When he steps inside, he leans down and places a gentle kiss in greeting on the other's lips.

Reassuring. That should be reassuring enough, right?

He smiles and nods.]

A little hungry.

[Considering the blush and dopey, bashful smile that comes after the kiss? Absolutely reassured.]

We have some leftovers I can reheat. ... I didn't make them.

[Good.]

Okay. I'll come help.

[He's never seen the rest of his place. The last time he went there, he just darted straight for his room, then left for his medicine lessons after he woke up.]

[The place is a literal mansion, kept in perfect shape by Mukuro's illusions. You'd have no idea it was in a wasteland like Adstring if you didn't look out the window.

Gokudera leads Makoto into a spacious kitchen to get some leftovers from an earlier meal reheated. Neither boy is big on cooking, so its very simple.]

[It's incredible! To think that this is all illusion. It's unfathomable for him.

He looks around the kitchen. He is sure Watanuki would have had a field day here from the way he works in the kitchen.

Makoto watches Gokudera fondly as he moves around in the kitchen. His eyes are soft and gentle and there's a soft smile on his lips. It was kind of cute seeing him like this.]

[Gokudera has learned how to reheat things without making them explode, at least. He's had to around here. So he putters to and fro, mostly handing everything himself except for maybe asking Makoto to grab him something that Makoto happens to be closer to (by virtue of being taller). Though, finally he looks up and notices the smile on Makoto's face and - and his heart just aches in the nicest way when Makoto smiles like that, looks at him like that.]

What? [aaaaand he's blushing again. He needs to just accept that for the time being, his face is going to be a rosy pink shade around Makoto.]

[He smiles even more when GOkudera starts blushing again and notices him watching.]

Nothing! [Just making sure you're okay and everything is okay.]

You haven't set anything on fire! Like when you told me about the ramen. Hahahaha!

[He's okay now that you're here and you still like him enough to kiss him okay.]

I'm getting better! And I'm not having to start from scratch. [Though, since he's in the 'and wait' period, he goes over to Makoto to - well, uh, he has to stand on his tip toes to kiss Makoto.]

[He lets out a light chuckle. Left overs were a blessing in a place like this.

Makoto watches as Gokudera goes over to him and starts getting up on his tip toes, he bends down to make it easier and meet him halfway, then pushes his lips against his.

He could feel his heart beat grow heavier.]

[Gokudera wants to deepen the kiss, to press Makoto back against the counters and - and -

But he's trying to let Makoto take the lead on things so he doesn't overstep his bounds, so he keeps everything rather shy and light, even if he does rest his hands on Makoto's shoulders. Purely for balance. Really.

Reassured at Makoto's maintained interest in him, he's also forgetting all about the food. Hopefully Makoto remembers.]

[How long does food on the stove/oven take to heat up aside from a microwave? Hahahahahahahahaha...haha...ha...

Makoto decides to give in a little more and press a bit more into the kiss, moving his lips just slightly. He hoped that he was doing this right. He'd never kissed anyone like this before.

His hands rest gently on Gokudera's waist.]

[At least he learned to not turn everything up to max to heat it 'faster', so it's still on low heat right now...

Gokudera hadn't exactly kissed anyone beside Makoto either, even if he'd seen it a bunch of times in movies and the like. Though honestly there was little Makoto could do that Hayato wouldn't find appealing, really, purely by virtue of him being Makoto. He tried to not overthink things too much, himself. That was easier too, his brain kind of shut off when Makoto kissed him, and when Makoto moved his lips a bit, Gokudera's arms pulled him a little closer.]

[It was really easy to be caught up in this moment and think of nothing else about how Gokudera was showing him such a soft and vulnerable side. He knew that Gokudera was rough and tumble, a brash speaker, and a little fire cracker. But it was moments like these when he was able to relax and let go is when he felt he knew Gokudera the best. And he was happy to be the person that Gokudera could open himself up to.

When he was pulled a little closer, that prompted him to go just a bit further. His hands moved to Hayato's back and pulled him in even more, nearly embracing him. He hadn't noticed their physique difference quite like this before. Now they were almost flush against each other, only leaving space for Makoto to hunch down so that he could kiss him properly.]

[It would have been hard for Gokudera to miss their differences being the shorter one ... though ... pressing against Makoto like this, feeling his firm muscled body under his clothing which Gokudera had only seen glances of before turning away in embarrassment ...

He should be thinking of the food, thinking of Mukuro or Zero walking in at any time, thinking of anything else, but the only thing on his mind was Makoto's hands on him holding him so close, his lips pressed against Gokudera's, and, well - he couldn't help himself, hands grasping tight to the back of Makoto's shirt, Gokudera bucked his hips against Makoto's.]

[When Makoto felt that motion of Gokudera's hips, he could feel the heat rising to...his everywhere. His heart gave a solid thud and while apart of his brain wanted to pull him out of reality and deeper into what they were doing, the other part knew that they should reign this in before they went too far.

Makoto decided now was a good time to come up for air.]

Hayato...

[He looked down at the other for a moment, a pink blush right on his cheeks.]

We...we should check on the food.

[Even though a part of him just wanted to get back to kissing.]

[Hayato whined softly when Makoto pulled his lips away. He wanted to keep going, cheeks flushed, eyes dark, and with their closeness his interest was more than slightly apparent. His hands clenched and unclenched at the back of Makoto's shirt while his brain tried to process the words that came out of Makoto's mouth, like a cat kneading at a blanket. Makoto's mouth - he couldn't stop looking at it, words, words, something about food...?

Gokudera's eyes widened, suddenly alert.]

FUCK, THE FOOD'S GONNA BURN!

[He let go of Makoto all of a sudden to grab the food off the range just as little bits of smoke began to come off of it.]

[It was a good thing they stopped when they did or there was going to be more than their hormones set ablaze.

He took a step back to get out of Gokudera and the hot food's way.]

Are you okay? Do you need me to help with that?

[He was already heading to the stove to turn it off.]

I got it if you can get the stove!

[Gokudera quickly grabs a plate, transfers the food to it, then turns the cold water on and shoves the pan under it. You'd think the boy had experience with this or something. While one side is a little darker than strictly necessary, the food was saved from being pure carbon.]

[After Makoto turned the stove off, he went to help take the plates to the table as Gokudera cooled off the pan.

Oh well, food was food. A little burn meant that it definitely wasn't going to kill you from being underdone.]

Do you want me to get the drinks?

That'd be great, there should be some cold stuff in the fridge. Crap, I hope I didn't fuck up this pan, I dunno how easy it is for Mukuro to make a new one... [For being 'off the grid' for electricity and running water ... the mansion seems to have more than enough of both. 'Illusionist' was probably putting Mukuro's powers lightly, especially when knowing they were an illusion did jack and shit for making them any less real.

To be honest, Gokudera tried not to think too hard about the extent of Mukuro's powers. They were a little too ... well, godlike, and it scared him. So he kept saying 'illusionist' and leaving it at that.]

[Luckily Makoto had no idea what kind of power this was taking. Well, he had some idea and he didn't want to find out about it first hand. He felt like he'd be obliterated with a thought.

He went over to the fridge and pulled it open. He peered inside to see what they had available.]

Is iced tea okay with you?

[It sounded good to him!]
