[Gokudera can't help but smile so brightly when he sees Makoto in the sweater, cheeks coloring a bit again.] ... I'm glad you like the presents.

[He smiles in return.]

I love them! Thank you, Hayato. They made me really happy.

[He wraps his arms around Gokudera for a loving hug.]

Want to head up to your room now?

[Gokudera hugs back. He was right, that sweater makes Makoto extra huggable. He also took pains to wash it as much as possible before giving it to the other boy, so it lacked the questionable smells that often came with nice clothing around here. Once he let go, he still held Makoto's hand while they went up to Dera's room.]

Yeah. Um... I know it's getting kinda crowded over at your place, so ... if you ever wanna hang out here long-term, like for a few nights, I'm sure it'd be okay. Get some peace and quiet. Until we can find a place, you know.

[He looks over at Gokudera and nods.]

I'd like that. I'm sure Haru needs his space at times, too.

I know that we're all going to search for a place soon, I'll let you know when that is so we can all go together. Then we can find furniture and stuff.

That'll take a while, too... Making wherever we find livable. ... How many beds should we be looking for? [He asks as he flops down on his, trying to sound super casual as he's roundabout asking if they'll need one or two.]

[He raises his hands to count on his fingers.]
One for you and me, I think one for Nagisa and ReiI, one for Haru and one for Rin then one for Gou. So five beds in total.

[Because why waste time in finding separate beds when most likely neither of them will be in their own.]

[Gokudera can still blush about the matter-of-fact way Makoto goes about counting those.]

... You aren't worried or anything?

[He sits on the bed next to Gokudera and smiles to him.]

Worried? About what?

[Gokudera leans against Makoto. It's weird, but... he's got cold feet all of a sudden. He's thrilled, he's so thrilled, but what if something happens?]

What if it ... what if it doesn't work out? We'll still be friends, right?

[Makoto looks down at his lap and thinks about that seriously. It's not something that he wants to think about, but the possibility exists. What if it just...doesn't work out in the end?]

Yeah, we'll still be friends. I can't really see anything happening that would drive us that far apart.

[He was already so attached to Hayato that it physically hurt to think that they would be anything less than friends. Even if Gokudera threw hin away, he would still care for him. He treasured bonds like that.]

[Gokudera's more worried about Makoto finding him annoying or clingy eventually. And even though he's afraid of that, he still takes Makoto's hand to hold it tight between his own.]

Sorry. I didn't mean to spoil the mood. I just ... worry. Guess you aren't the only mother hen, huh?

[Makoto laces their fingers together and gives Hayato's hand a gentle squeeze. He lets out a soft chuckle through his nose.]

You're more like a cat than a hen. Maybe that's another reason why I like you so much.

I like your mother henning. [It makes him feel cared for.] How am I cat-like?

[He blushes a little from being complimented like that.]

Well let's see...

When you get fired up, i can imagine you getting frizzy and hissing. You're really affectionate only to me and a little standoffish to people you don't really know. And you go hunting and bring me things to show you care.

And you like when I do this.

[He starts to pet Gokudera's head gently]

[Those are all coincidences, really! And while Gokudera was going to argue... he does like the touching, and while he can't exactly purr, he does close his eyes and hum as he leans against Makoto.]

[Makoto lets out a chuckle.]

See? Hayato already resembles a cat.

[He continues threading his fingers through his hair and massaging his scalp, following through with his little coupon.]

[Huff, huff - alright he can't really stay anything resembling grumpy under this attention.] Do not. [He's gotta try, though.]

[He can't help but tease him a little.]

If you could purr, you'd probably be purring right now.

[He continues to use those strong fingers to gently massage Gokudera's head.]

... maybe just a little bit.

[Really, he doesn't know whether to start putting the moves on Makoto or to just ... fall asleep on his shoulder. He's getting very relaxed very quickly.]

[This is the goal. To relax his normally wound up "kitty cat".

He moves his hands to the back of his neck before moving to his shoulders and working the muscles there.]

Huh...you're really tense here. Let's see if I can work out some of these knots. It might hurt a little at first since you're all knotted up.

Pain doesn't bother me. [HE'S TOUGH. A BIG TOUGH MAFIA GUY. Who is now, after a moment of consideration, laying across Makoto's lap. It gives Makoto better access to his back anyway! ...He stealthily tries to hide his blushing face against his arms, but the tops of his ears and his neck going red kind of give it away.]

["Big and tough" until you're a puddle of goo in his lap.

Makoto starts working on the muscles in his shoulders first. He concentrates on rolling those knots out and working them with the strength in his fingers. ]

This doesn't hurt too badly, does it?

[Ow okay that actually does hurt. Makoto IS strong - something easy for Gokudera to forget since he's such a big softie - and Gokudera's got some pretty damn solid knots. It isn't like he ... ever ... lets people touch him, and his method of calming down in the past was to light up a cigarette. Sooooooo...

Still, he's determined to weather through it. Just because it's unexpected doesn't mean he can't take it.]

Had worse. Though I won't go into it, don't want to make you worry.

[Makoto doesn't really want to hurt him at all, but since the state of his back is like this, it can't really be helped. So he just continues until he can start feeling those muscles smooth out before moving to another spot.]

Just let me know if it becomes too much, okay?

[Deep breath.] Yeah. [Just gotta work through it. No way to otherwise, after all. And eventually with hard work it goes from OW OW OW to ... okay ... that's pretty nice ... ]
