[Every caress by Makoto felt absolutely electric, coursing sensation through his nerves, heat pooling just below his stomach because he'd never been touched like this before, not from another person. He hastily yanked his rings off to drop on the bed so they wouldn't get caught in Makoto's hair, hands trembling as he shyly began to return the caresses.

Hayato suddenly felt self-conscious about his smoking habit as Makoto urged his lips to part. What if he thought it was gross? Gokudera had never cared before, it never mattered, bur now he was terribly afraid. That fear wasn't enough to hold him back, not with Makoto's mouth doing what it was doing, and he shyly opened his in return.]

[Makoto had never done this before, either, so he hoped he was doing all right. It certainly felt right to him, so he went along with it, trying not to question it too much. As long as Gokudera didn't make any indications that he was uncomfortable or weirded out by what he was doing, he would continue on.

So without putting too much thought into it, he allowed his tongue to make its way into Gokudera's parted mouth.

He blushed a bit as he could feel Gokudera's tongue against his own and could taste a bit of their meal with an undertone of cigarettes. The cigarettes didn't...taste all that great, but he would ignore that for Gokudera's sake.]

Mm...

[Gokudera was worried about messing up, about Makoto thinking he was weird, or strange, or - or any other number of anxious rejections that ran through his head. But Makoto just kept kissing him, and while the other boy's tongue in his mouth first felt weird, it quickly turned pleasant, until Gokudera's whole body felt like it was humming with excitement. His lungs were burning for air but he didn't want to pull away from Makoto, so only with great reluctance did he pull back just far enough to be able to gasp for breath. His heart was beating like a jackhammer in his chest. He was certain he had to look stupid, all red-faced and far too excited over kissing (he was seriously regretting wearing tight jeans today) but even the same wasn't enough to override the excitement of Makoto.]

Ah... ah...

[When Gokudera pulled back, he took in a few deep breaths. Since he was a swimmer, holding his breath was a specialty of his. And though he had really, thoroughly enjoyed kissing Gokudera, he was unconsciously making a slight face at the lingering taste of tobacco in his mouth which could have been totally misconstrued. ]

[Gokudera nuzzled at Makoto's cheek as he struggled to catch his breath, wanting to return to the kissing as soon as he had the lung capacity to do so. Of course, when he glanced up to see the slight grimace...

He wasn't athletic, but he did have good reflexes. And all of a sudden there was an arm's length of distance between the two of them.]

D-did I do something wrong? [He did, didn't he? He screwed up somewhere and Makoto hated it and never wanted to see him again and everything was terrible and he'd screwed everything up and-]

[The sudden change in Gokudera made his own eyes widen and he blinked a bit confused, not realizing that he had made such a strange face.]

Wh-what? No! You didn't do anything wrong. I really liked what we were doing.

A-are you sure because it's okay I mean if I did something wrong you can tell me I can take it I'd rather know you don't have to worry about sparing my feelings- [For being out of breath before he can certainly babble really well when he goes into panic mode. And he is panicking.]

I-I mean...the cigarette taste was a little weird...but other than that, I really liked it!

[Oh no, did he make a face? He felt really bad for hurting his feelings. He put his own face into his hands out of shame for himself.]

I'm sorry, Hayatoooo....

I'LL QUIT SMOKING THEN!

[... ... Yep, it really was just that simple. For all the people that tried to yell at him over his smoking, it just came down to he liked kissing Makoto. He really liked it. He liked it much more than smoking. So, if he couldn't have both...]

Really?!

[He'd quit smoking for him?! He was so touched and happy! He didn't like the idea of Gokudera killing himself slowly with cancer sticks and, admittedly, kissing was just a tad less pleasant when tasting cigarette mouth.

He smiled happily and gave him a tight hug.]

I'll help support you in every step of the way!

Oof!

[The hug came as such a surprise, Gokudera was knocked over by it. Thankfully they were already on the comfy bed, but - oh no, Hayato really hoped Makoto didn't notice how nice he thought the kissing was.]

Can't be harder than it was to quit the first time. And ... I want you to like kissing me as much as I like kissing you.

[Makoto started to nuzzle into Gokudera's face like a puppy. If he had a tail, it would be wagging at full force. He hadn't let go of the smaller boy at all.]

I'll kiss you as much as you want if it helps you quit completely.

[Oh nooo don't say cute things like that Makoto, he can't stand it. Too cute...!]

Then you'd be kissing me all the time.

[He gives Gokudera a peck on his forehead, then his cheeks, then his nose, then his chin.]

That's okay. It's a win-win situation.

[You're gonna make him blush even more! As cute as it is, Makoto's affection has him breathing a little roughly by the time he's done with his kisses again.]

If you say so. You're really good at calming me down.

Really?

[He smiles at that.]

That's good...You get riled up easily, so I guess that makes me something of a stress reliever.

[He shifts a bit and moves so that they're on their sides. He still doesn't let go of Gokudera.]

Yeah. You're good at it.

[Gokudera puts an arm around Makoto's waist, though he makes sure to keep other parts separate, trying to will himself to calm the fuck down.]

[Makoto still had his own arms wrapped around Gokudera's shoulders. A gentle, genuine smile crosses his face as he looks at the other with great fondness.

He placed a brief kiss onto Hayato's lips with pride that he showed such diligence. He was so proud to call Hayato his boyfriend.]

[Gokudera really wanted more, to get back to the kissing from before, but... he couldn't, not until he'd quit completely, so Makoto could enjoy it too. Until then, just the soft closed-mouth kisses from the first time. Those were still nice anyway.

Ironically, he could really use a cigarette to calm down. That thought made him chuckle slightly.]
