Yeah? I'll keep that in mind, thanks. Seems like it'd be good to get some variety in food, you know? Not that I'm much of a gardener myself, but... I'm a quick learner. [He takes Makoto's hand and begins to walk around the still mostly frozen lake, just enjoying his time spent with the other boy.]

[He laces their fingers together and walks with him contentedly. He wondered if he should bring up the Rei thing, but thought better of it. Those two would work it out in their own time.]

So the Halfway house really is just a halfway house and we have to move out eventually.

It seemed like it was getting kinda crowded. [He'd invite Makoto to stay with him, but... he knows Makoto will want to stick by his friends, and Gokudera's not sure how Mukuro would like the whole damn swim team. Probably not at all. Or too much...]

Do you have a place in mind?

[The thought of Nagisa and Mukuro ever meeting was like a match made in Hell.]

Mm-mm. I really don't know where to begin. I know that I want something where we can each have our own rooms. Ah...maybe just four since Rei and Nagisa are a couple now and I don't think they would mind. Running water is a must for Haru. We have to prevent him from running off to the lake by himself somehow.

[He's like the mommy of the group, he would feel bad leaving his chicks behind.]

You're gonna want something in the northeast quarter, then... people come and go all the time, so maybe someplace is newly vacated. We can look around on our next date. Er, you know, if you want.

[He nods at that.]

Okay, we can do that. [He smiles.]

That way when my team and I look around, we'll already have some starting points.

[He then looks a bit bashful.]

I was thinking that it would be nice to live with you, too.

It's something to think about later, right?

[Gokudera blushed, squeezing Makoto's hand.] You don't think that'd be a headache waiting to happen? I don't get along so great with all of your friends.

Haru likes you from what I've told him about you and I'm sure he'll like you more from this gift. Nagisa seems to like you, too. Gou also doesn't seem to have a problem.

[He pauses in their walking and gives him a light boop on the head.]

As long as you don't punch Rei again and things are properly talked about, I think you two will be fine as well.

But like I said, that's a discussion for another time.

I don't want to pull you away from your friend either.

I won't punch him again if he doesn't piss me off again. [Said very matter-of-fact like, though Gokudera doesn't have much venom in his tone. Punching people isn't exactly a huge deal in his world.]

...Mukuro isn't my friend. He's my teammate. And back in our world - well, it's complicated.

[He can only imagine what transpired between the two of them, but it doesn't seem like Gokudera has ill feelings towards Rei and that's what mattered.

He begins to walk towards the lake again.]

So maybe us living together wouldn't be a bad idea then. If you wouldn't mind the whole swim club, that is. Hahaha...

We could share a room.

You'd want to share a room with me? [Gokudera does sound ridiculously pleased with that, in spite of trying to act cool and aloof.]

[He smiles at that.]

Of course. We've fallen asleep together a few times now, so I wouldn't mind it at all.

You aren't worried that I'd get. Um. Handsy? [Actually he'd be pretty good about respecting boundaries, as long as Makoto didn't imply he wanted more. Gokudera wouldn't be able to hold back then, probably...]

I trust you. [He nods. Though, it's not like he'd mind.]

And we're dating now so...that kind of thing is okay. Because...

What if I want to get "handsy", too?

[Gokudera flushed a bright red at that, squeezing Makoto's hand and looking around. They were pretty alone out here by the lake. He bumped his shoulder against Makoto's, not meeting the other boy's eyes as he replied.]

You can get "handsy" whenever you want.

[He let out a light chuckle at his reaction, blushing a bit, too.]

If we did share a room, would you want separate beds?

I know we've slept in the same bed before but...it would be more permanent...

[He suddenly really feels like a grown-up, discussing things like this. He's never really had to think about living out on his own before and house hunting or sharing a place with his loved one.~~Plus team, but that was just roommate situation~~]

It'd have to be bigger than your bed at the halfway house, that'd be cramped after a while... but I wouldn't hate sharing a bed. [He'd like it a lot actually.]

Of course. I know I take up a lot of room. Haha...

[He looks out to the frozen lake a bit as they walk around.]

I wouldn't mind it, either.

We'd have to make sure we had our own room then.

I wouldn't want to be accidentally inconsiderate to anybody either. We have to be careful about Haru when you come over.

[He blushes remembering how frisky they started to get in the room while Haru was soaking ]

So it's best if it's only ours.

[Gokudera is thinking of the same thing. Back then, if Watanuki hadn't called the house meeting...]

See if we can find a place with thick walls, too.

S-since Nagisa and Rei would be there, too.

[Now that he thought of it, that was a lot of teenage boy hormone under one roof. Maybe it was time to change the subject to something that was not potentially getting frisky. ]

When did you want to eat?

Um-! [Right, subject change, good idea.] Just around the bend here, there's actually a little bench that can hold some weight.

Really? Okay, we'll eat there then.

[He starts walking in the direction that was pointed out, not letting go of Gokudera's hand until he needed to. When they reached the bench, he pulled out the lunches from the bag as well as a blanket that Gokudera should recognize well enough.]

[The bench has clearly seen better days, but it'll hold their weight and doesn't look too suspicious otherwise. Gokudera pulls out the bit of food he brought as well so he can feel like he's contributing, and he smiles at the blanket.] You kept it. [He wanted Makoto to keep it.]
