[He laughed lightly at that. He dropped his hand from Gokudera's face and placed it to his side.]

He did give me advice, though, so...the outcome was fine.

[Gokudera blinked when Makoto stopped touching his face, though they were still holding hands, so ... He hoped it was still all right.]

I might have to thank him then. Ugh.

[Makoto didn't move his hand as any indicator that it wasn't all right. He kept his hand right where it was.]

Hahaha! I think he would just be glad to know you're not upset anymore.

... maybe. [It was possible. For a while now, Gokudera had been wondering if maybe Mukuro wasn't as hard to read as Gokudera had been thinking...]

Ugh, this is so embarrassing, I look like shit.

[Makoto moved his free hand again and finger-brushed some of Gokudera's hair.]

I did come barging in at an odd hour of the night. It's fine.

[He smiles.]

You look fine. And that shade of red on your cheeks looks good, too.

[Oh, he teased him.]

[It really only caused Gokudera's shade of red to deepen. Well, if it was just the two of them, Makoto could tease. It wasn't like anyone else was around to see.] You can always come over, no matter what the hour is.

[... Wait, did that sound like an invitation for something else?]

[Thankfully for Gokudera, his mind didn't go in that direction. He just nodded.]

Thanks. Though...i don't think I want to travel so late since it was so scary when I did it tonight.

[He was THAT determined to get to him soon]

[Makoto, you really are too innocent sometimes.]

That was reckless. I could have come to visit you, you know. [Though he probably would have come up with some excuse, to be honest... so it was probably better that Makoto had come over.]

[He looked a bit abashed at that.]
I know, but...I had to see you and make things right. I didn't know if you would want to come around.

Well... I'm glad you cared that much, to come to see me. Even if it was scary.

Of course! If you ever needed me, I'll come to you.

[He nodded surely. It was like when he dove into stormy waters to save rei.]

Then I'd hide behind you. Hahaha!

You should stay here until it's light out. Get some sleep, then I can walk you home.

Er, you don't have to stay in my room, there's a third bedroom that's still set up. If you want. [Gokudera really would not mind sharing a bed with Makoto again now that they're ... they're together? Dating? What do they call it? But he knows that kind of changes some rules so Makoto might not be so thrilled about it.]

Oh...uhm...Would it make you uncomfortable if I stayed? [They had already shared a bed once and even though they revealed some feelings, that shouldn't change that much, right? He knew that it would change some things, but...]

U-unless you don't want me to, I mean...

It's fine if you wanted to stay. [Gokudera's color deepened. He'd never stop around Makoto at this rate.] I might have some of Yamamoto's clothes still laying around, like, for pajamas.

Okay, yeah...thanks.

[He stood up, his legs were back to normal now.]

Do you need me to help with anything?

[then he realized that this was his first time at Gokudera's place. He took that time to look around a bit without being too nosy.]

[Gokudera's room is pretty sparse, aside from the bed. It is clean, and he's got a dufflebag from home filled with cigarettes. His precious stash. A makeshift shelf serves for his clothing, an early project. There's a bunch of stacks of paper filled with technical drawings as well.

Gokudera went to the shelf, grabbing a pair of worn drawstring pants and a long-sleeved tee shirt. The pants were loose on Yamamoto so they should fit Makoto. The shirt though... ]

The shirt might be too tight, but give it a shot?

[Makoto's attention turned back onto Gokudera when he showed him the clothes.]

I'll try them on.

[Without missint a beat or thinking about it too much, Makoto took off his shirt and his pants, leaving himself in his boxers. He's showered with other guys before, so this was no big thing...Except it might be now]

[It was a big deal before, okay.

Gokudera goes bright cherry red, making a choking sound. He turns quickly to give Makoto his privacy.]

[The clothes were snug, but not uncomfortably so. They were tight enough to hug his muscular frame and a bit of his abdomen peeked out from the bottom. He tugged at it just a bit before looking down at himself. Good enough. He looked over to see Gokudera turned around. He couldn't help but smile a little at that.]

All right. All done.

[Slooowly Gokudera turned back around, like he wasn't entirely certain Makoto was telling the truth.

Knowing how Gokudera felt, his extremely poorly done attempt to not stare at Makoto's abs was even more noticeable now.

This was going to be a difficult night if there ever was one.

His bed was a little larger than Makoto's - theoretically they wouldn't have to snuggle. Gokudera turned off the lights and got in bed first so that Makoto could make that decision for himself.]

At least we already know about the other's obnoxious sleeping habits, if any.

[Makoto followed Gokudera into the bed. Either way, it was most likely that Makoto was going to end up against the other during some part of the night.]

Haha...Yeah. I'll tell you if you snore or do something creepy like laugh in your sleep.

[He got underneath the covers and laid on his back.]

Hey...Hayato?

[Gokudera tried to give him at least a little space for now. The last time, Makoto's fear and need for comfort had kept Gokudera's libido in check. This time... well, the danger was over.

And that shirt really didn't do much to hide Makoto's physique.]

Y-yeah? [Gokudera turned on his side slightly to look at Makoto in the low light of the room provided by the moon and stars streaming in through the uncurtained window.]

[Makoto was silent for a moment after he called out to Gokudera, thinking of how to phrase his question. He stared up at the ceiling before turning his head to look at the other boy laying there.]

What...Well...

What do we do now?

[He studied Gokudera's face in the pale moon light as well. He hadn't really...thought about it before now--well, maybe he had but not in this way, but Gokudera had a cute face.]

I dunno. I've never been in a relationship before, and I didn't exactly have parents I could take cues from. [Which was depressing and not something he wanted to think about right then.

He turned more fully onto his side, using one arm to pillow under his head while he looked at Makoto. He'd noticed how handsome the other boy was long ago.]

I guess we just ... keep doing what we always do, just now we can hold hands too. Or kiss. I-if you want too.

[His own parents were very...parent-like. His mother was a housewife and did the domestic things and his father worked. They were very pleasant and normal. He was pretty sure that taking cues from them wouldn't quite work in a relationship like this one.]

I've never been in one, either.

[He also turned on his side to get a better look at the other.

But he nodded at that. That sounded good, just doing what they always did before. He didn't mind the thought of holding hands or...kissing.]
